Data Deletion Instructions

You have the right to request deletion of all personal data Zlotworks holds about you. This page explains what gets deleted, how to request it, and how long it takes.

What data we delete

A deletion request removes all of the following from our systems:

Your phone number and name
Your booking, contact, promotion and chat records
Conversation messages, including chats imported from the WhatsApp Business app and Instagram direct messages
Instagram comment records, author identifiers, and cached post statistics, thumbnails or captions
Stored access tokens and credentials for connected WhatsApp and Instagram accounts
Any OTP codes or session tokens

Deleting your data from Zlotworks never deletes chats on your phone, in the WhatsApp Business app, or on your personal Instagram account.

Note: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. After deletion, you will no longer be able to access past booking records, or receive status updates on existing bookings or campaigns.

How to request deletion

Choose either method below:

Option A — Messaging (fastest) Send a WhatsApp message saying "Delete my data" to the Zlotworks-powered number you interacted with, or send a direct message on Instagram to the business's connected account requesting deletion. We'll process the request within 30 days.

Option B — Email Email hello@zlotworks.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request", including the WhatsApp phone number or Instagram username associated with your interactions and the business you contacted so we can identify your records.

What happens next

We acknowledge your request within 3 business days.

We verify your identity by confirming the WhatsApp number or Instagram username belongs to you (we may send an OTP or verification message).

We delete your data from our active database, and it's queued for removal from backups within 30 days.

We confirm deletion by email or WhatsApp.

Exceptions

In limited circumstances, we may be required to retain certain records:

Where retention is required to comply with a legal obligation under Indian law.
Where data is needed to resolve an active dispute or legal claim.
Aggregated, anonymised statistics that do not contain personally identifiable information.

If any exception applies, we'll tell you specifically what's retained and why.

Meta (Facebook & Instagram) account connection data

If you (as a business owner) connected your Facebook or Instagram professional account to Zlotworks, you can revoke access directly via Meta settings:

Facebook: Go to Facebook → Settings → Security and Login → Apps and Websites, find Zlotworks and click Remove.
Instagram: Go to Instagram → Settings and privacy → Website permissions → Apps and websites (or Meta Accounts Centre / Business Integrations), find Zlotworks and remove access.

Disconnecting an account or removing app permissions immediately deletes the stored access token from Zlotworks. To also delete historical conversation, comment, post statistics, and account records, send a deletion request using the methods above.

Who handles deletion requests

Deletion requests are handled by Zlotworks, a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Jayanth Joseph under Udyam Registration Number UDYAM-KR-11-0108109 in Mangalore, Karnataka, India.
